Malaysian Government Must Show Consistency - NGOs Condemn The Israel Delegates in Malayasia

We are registering our strong condemnation on the recent team of Israeli diplomats who visited Malaysia as participants in the UN - WUF 9 conference held in Kuala Lumpur .
This is a contradiction to the staunch pro-Palestinian policy that the Malaysian government has consistently expressed in international forums.
The senior level delegations who were issued visas by the Malaysian government to enter the Malaysian ground is shocking and most regret full.
This , the first-of-its-kind visit, was headed by diplomat David Roet, who has served as Israel’s deputy ambassador to the UN.
If Malaysia was compelled to host the Israelis, since it was required to grant visas to all delegations in order to hold the international conference, the Malaysian government should have decline to host it or at least disclose it to the public and allow a response by the people.
There is a strong global BDS Campaign to boycott Israel at every level for the criminal and illegal actions of the Jewish sate. Malaysia should have reflected its strong commitment and stay firm on its rejection to allow any Israel to set foot on the Malaysian soil.
It is even more disturbing to know that Roet also met Malaysian officials. To welcome them is a treachery to the struggle of the Palestinians.
This , to us , reflects the attempt for a normalization policy that the Israel is pursuing to establish with Malaysia.
Roet twitted "I have great hopes for good relations between our two countries in the future"
It is now exposed that an official data published in 2014 by the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) told of a booming, but very discreet, trade relationship totaling some $1.5 billion per year.
Roet expressed that he is hoping for good relations between Malaysia and Israel adding that he had found many similarities between the two countries.

We call on the Malaysian government to be firm and adamant about its policy towards Israel as an illegal state.

Malaysian stance in condemning Israel of violation against international law should have been expressed by denying entrance to the Israel delegates.

The recent rally lead by the Prime Minister of Malaysia at Putrajaya, the administrative capital , as a show of solidarity with the Palestinians , will now be perceived as an empty retorics and the Malaysian non diplomatic relations with the apartheid Israel regime will be seen as nullified.

We demand that the trade relations between Malaysia and Israel be ceased immediately less Malaysia will be seen as applying a hipocritical policy between Israel and the Palestinians.

We urge that the Malaysian government should lead the OIC and Asean community to oppose the attrocities by the Israeli government and not compromise with any deceptive normalization effort by the Israel regime.
